The top 100 most valuable players in the world: Osimhen joint 16th along with Real Madrid, Bayern stars
Football statistics and transfer market website, Transfermarkt has released its latest market value update following the conclusion of the 2024 European Championship and Copa America.
The market values of the most impressive performers at the two international tournaments have been upgraded.
Of the top 100 most valuable players in the world, two in the shape of Victor Osimhen and Michael Olise have been invited to the Nigerian national team in the past.
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen and Inter Milan’s Argentina star Lautaro Martínez are the only Serie A players that cracked the top twenty with a valuation of 100 million euros and 110 million euros respectively.
Four players are currently tied as the 16th most valuable player in the world, namely Osimhen (Napoli) Eduardo Camavinga (Real Madrid), Aurélien Tchouaméni (Real Madrid) and Harry Kane (Bayern Munich).
Bayern Munich newbie Olise is valued at 55 million euros, same as Kobbie Mainoo, João Neves, Nuno Mendes, Micky van de Ven, Vitinha, Pedro Neto, Ebeechi Eze, Cody Gakpo, Dejan Kulusevski, Moussa Diaby, Ben White, João Palhinha and Mohamed Salah.
The most expensive teenager of Nigerian descent is Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu at €12m, followed by George Ilenikhena at €10m and Ethan Nwaneri at €8m.
With a valuation of €180 million each, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior and Erling Haaland are the joint most valuable players in the world, while Phil Foden is fifth at €150m.
