Nigerian Army troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, under TSAFTADAJI III – Phase 2, have eliminated four notorious bandits in Ruwan Kunku, a village along the Gusau-Magami highway in Zamfara State.

The operation, which targeted bandits responsible for multiple kidnappings and attacks on travelers, was successfully executed as part of an intensified crackdown on criminal elements in the region.

The development was contained in a statement by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X (formerly Twitter).

“The offensive, carried out during the weeklong operation, specifically targeted the bandits terrorizing the Gusau-Magami highway,” the statement read.

The neutralized bandits were identified as Nazifi, Sakkarawa, Sule, and Dan Kwaiba.

According to sources cited by Makama, “the slain bandits were part of a criminal network operating from Mai Rai Rai village in Bini district, under Maru Local Government Area.”

The criminals were also known to be associates of the late notorious bandit leader, Kachalla Zakiru.
