The Nigeria international is a player in high demand after a dream start to the 2022/23 season
Ligue 1 campaigners Olympique Lyonnais have joined the race to sign Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi, who is wanted by numerous other European clubs.
Moffi is believed to be high on the shopping list of several English Premier League clubs, including Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa.
German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach are also reportedly keen on luring the FC Lorient star away from France.
But interest in Moffi continues to rise as French side Lyon have joined the clubs queuing up for the Nigerian striker, according to information from Jeunes Footeux (via Sports News Africa).
Lyon boast some fine attacking talents in former Arsenal man Alexander Lacazette, Brazil’s Tete, Karl Toko Ekambi, and Moussa Dembélé as well as youngster Bradley Bercola.
All five have, however, accounted for 20 league goals combined leaving the seven-time champions a lowly tenth on the goalscoring chart.
The addition of Terem Moffi could boost Lyon’s attacking output, though.
The 23-year-old has proven to be a consistent goalscoring asset for Lorient, weighing in with ten goals already, more than Lacazette on nine.
Only PSG’s Kylian Mbappe (12) and Neymar (11) have hit the net more times than Moffi in the French top flight.
Adding the three goals he scored for the Super Eagles during 2022 to his numbers makes Moffi one of Nigeria’s most prolific frontmen this year.
