Hakim Ziyech, a star for Chelsea, has been instructed to pressure through a transfer to Manchester United in January.
The 29-year-old has been outstanding for Morocco in Qatar, helping his country defeat Spain in the round of 16 of the World Cup. The Atlas Lions have been the tournament’s surprise team, and if they defeat Portugal on Saturday, they will advance as the first-ever African semifinalist team.
Ziyech hasn’t quite had the same impact at the club level. In 92 appearances for Chelsea since joining for £33 million from Ajax two years ago, the attacker has scored just 14 goals.
Ziyech has only made one Premier League start thus far. The Moroccan international is anticipated to leave the Blues in January due to his lack of playing time, with a transfer to Serie A appearing likely.
Mustafa El Haddaoui, a former Moroccan midfielder, insisted that Ziyech should instead search for a Premier League club.
Ziyech, according to El Haddaoui, ought to consider joining United and working under his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.
Speaking to Stats Perform, via Corriere dello Sport the 61-year-old said: “Now we’re seeing his potential, we can see what he’s capable of, but now he has a lot of offer.
“He needs to leave Chelsea and go to Manchester United, because the former Ajax manager wanted him.
“He will bounce back, but now he needs to leave during the winter transfer market.”
During his time in Amsterdam between 2016 and 2020, Ziyech was a pillar of the Ajax squad and amassed 49 goals in 165 matches. Largest clubs in Europe expressed interest in the midfielder due to his performances under ten Hag.
Furthermore, since Cristiano Ronaldo’s turbulent departure from the Old Trafford club, United has been looking for attackers.
