Nigeria failed to defeat Algeria in four days, as they lost 2-1 in an international friendly match played on Tuesday night.
Last Friday, the Super Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw by Algeria Team B.
In the second game, they took an early lead in the 9th minute thanks to Terem Moffi.
But the lead did not last to the end of the first half as Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez converted penalty in the 41st minute for the Desert Foxes to level up.
The second half saw Eagles attempting to hold firm and make positive incursions, but a screamer in the 61st minute from Youcef Atal caught goalkeeper Francis Uzoho napping to earn the Algerians a 2-1 lead.
The remaining minutes left Eagles fighting to catch to no avails till final whistle.
This will be the second time in two friendly meetings that the Desert Foxes will clip Eagles wings. Recall that in October 2020 the foxes also beat Eagles by a lone goal in friendly played in Austria.
