NAYDSA Durban branch had a beautiful end of the year party on the 18th December, 2022. The party was coupled with inauguration party of the newly elected executives of the branch.
The event was graced by the members of the association and their families, also some invited guests and friends were in attendance. The venue of the event was beautifully decorated and seating arrangement was well set. The members, families and invited quest were gorgeously and elegantly dressed. All thanks to the outgoing and newly elected executives that put on dedicated and committed efforts in making sure the event was successful.
The attendees at the event among other dignitaries are the national president of NAYDSA in person of Aare Seyi Akinleye, National secretary Honourable Ajilore John. Also the quests at the event were the Umthatha NAYDSA executives.
The event kicked start with the opening prayer from Pastor Theo, member of the Durban branch. The anchor of the event was Honourable Remi Lukman and BOT Dr Olawale Scott. After welcome address from the hosts of the event, the high table dignitaries were invited to their seats. The likes of the national President, Aare Seyi Akinleye, The national Secretary Ajilore John, National Financial secretary Kotoye. Durban then current chairman Hon. Ojo Taiwo, Umthatha NAYDSA chairman.
To keep the event going smoothly, the hospitality people served everyone with starters while the hosts invited the outgoing chairman to address the people at the event. Hon Taiwo Ojo thanked everyone that graced the event and appreciated all the branch members and executives that worked with him for their commitment, sacrifices and dedication.
The children at the event were called upon to sing the Nigeria and South Africa national anthems, also one of Yoruba poem (Ise Agbe) was sang. It was really beautiful to allow our children to actively participate in such event, all thanks to Dr Scott and hon. Blessing for their tutors.
There outgoing executives were called out and applauded for their amazing commitments and great worked they did during their tenure, especially during the covid. They really stood by the members and ensured the association keep going.

The national president of the association appreciate and commended the outgoing executives for the immense works the above Honourable had done in both NAYDSA Durban Chapter and in national.

The National President Aare Seyi Akinleye alongside with the National Secretary in the person of Hon. John Ajilore inaugurated the newly elected executives and read out the oath of office to the newly
elected executives. Afterwards, every family were able to take photography with the newly elected executives.
The event continued with Menu time with delicious and sumptuous meals. Every attendee had enjoyable meals. Also all sort of soft drinks were served and everyone really had amazing moment.
As it was planned to be family event so it was as our children took the centre stage during their dancing competition. The competition was in two folds, under 12 and under 20 respectively. It was fun, amazing and enjoyable moment for our children and parents seeing our children participating and having great time.
The dancing competition has the under 12 winner in the person of Sekinat Kadiri and under 20 Miss Onyekumnalu while the respective winners did away with cash and stationeries gifts. The event proceed with raffle draw for ladies at the function, three ladies emerged as winners of the raffle draws with each do away with African beautiful fabrics.
Mummy Adejumo gave lecture on how men and women could take care of themselves medically. On what and what could be done to prevent some certain ailments and prevention measures to be taking and treatments needed for certain ailments.
The National President Aare Seyi Akinleye, Hon John Ajilore and Mummy Akorede Adejumo were each honoured and awarded at the event.
There was no end to the event as everyone continued dancing into the night …. Fun continues …….
