Everton are interested in signing Belgian side FC Genk for in-form Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, with the blues entering into talks with the club and the player’s representatives in the last hour, according to reports.
The toffees confirmed the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new first-team manager after the sacking of Frank Lampard early last week.
Many fans believed that Everton would go into the transfer window with very limited finances. But thanks to the sale of Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United for a reported fee of around £45 million, Kevin Thelwell seems to have more to work with.
The blues are yet to make a signing in the transfer window, but thanks to this sale they could finally make one on deadline day.
According to TheSecretScout, Everton have entered the race to sign Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu. They are in discussions with FC Genk over a potential move and are talking to the players representatives.
Onuachu has been on fire in Belgium this season and it is clear to see why.
The Nigerian stands at 6’6″, allowing him to dominate any defenders in his way with his height and strength.
He has scored a very impressive 16 goals in 19 appearances this season. But with Southampton also interested in acquiring his signature, Everton will need to act fast if they are to sign Onuachu before the transfer window slams shut.
