The Club World Cup will be played in the United States of America between June 14th and July 13th, 2025, and will feature 32 teams from six continents worldwide, Soccernet.ng reports.

Several players will have the rare opportunity to showcase their skills on the global stage, catching the eye of top scouts and coaches.

Some Nigeria-eligible footballers were included in their club squad for the expanded version of the FIFA Club World Cup. Soccernet.ng looks at four stars that could get a call-up to Eric Chelle’s side when the tournament is over.

The Chelsea loanee exited Stamford Bridge in February in search of playing time, joining Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, but didn’t get a huge run of game time due to injuries.

Now back to full fitness at the Club World Cup, the 21-year-old Austria-born midfielder will be one to watch, although his International allegiance still remains in big question marks.

2. Tosin Oluwadoyinsolami Adarabioyo

The Chelsea defender mentioned he’ll be taking this summer to make a decision about his International future after the Blues lifted the UEFA Conference League trophy against Real Betis last month.

Should he choose to don the green and white colours of Nigeria, his display in America will play a huge role in Eric Chelle’s decision if a call-up will surface.

4. Onuche Ogbelu

The Esperance de Tunis industrious midfielder burst onto the scene after leading Nigeria’s U20S to third place at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

He joined the Tunisian giants in September 2023 and has grown in leaps and bounds since then. Yet to get a call-up to the senior team, the 21-year-old will be hoping to put on a worthy appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup.
