All the money that goes into the state, I personally think it can be monitored because the monies are being diverted. There’s a story, for example, in the media that one person who was the deputy accountant General of the federation gave his girlfriend $80 billion, and thieves helped themselves in connivance with the driver in the house and took $4 million out of that money.”
Buba Galadima, a spokesperson of the NNPP, during an interview with Arise TV, revealed how one deputy Accountant General of the federation gave his girlfriend $80 billion and thieves took $4 million out of it. He revealed that the securities officers who went to arrest the thieves shared the $4 million with the thieves instead of arresting them. He made the statement after he was asked to give his opinion about how the fuel subsidy savings should be spent judiciously in the best interest of Nigerians.
As regards this, Buba stated that the money that goes into the state must be monitored so as to avoid leakages of any sort. He added that the EFCC, the SSS, and the Police must work efficiently to arrest and prosecute fraudulent officials of the government. He said: “All the money that goes into the state, I personally think it can be monitored because the monies are being diverted. There’s a story, for example, in the media that one person who was the deputy accountant General of the federation gave his girlfriend $80 billion, and thieves helped themselves in connivance with the driver in the house and took $4 million out of that money.”
Buba-Galadima “The security that went to arrest those people also shared that $4 million with the Thieves and the security people, and up until now, the government has not been able to bring those who stole the money into custody, and people are parading themselves. What is the duty of the SSS? What is the duty of the EFCC and the police? Now, the judiciary must sit up.”
