Frank Lampard has held initial talks with Norwich City to become their new manager.
The Canaries are looking for a new boss after Daniel Farke was sacked.
Farke, who had spent four years at Carrow Road and took them to the Premier League twice, was dismissed on Saturday after a 2-1 victory at Brentford.
Lampard has been out of job since he was sacked by Chelsea in January.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Frank Lampard had a conversation with Norwich City board today but still no decision made.
“Three names on the list, meeting planned to progress in internal talks and decide.
“Lampard’s still thinking about his next step after Chelsea chapter.”
Although Lampard is the frontrunner for the job, other contenders are recently disposed Aston Villa manager Dean Smith and Southampton’s Ralph Hassenhuttl.
