At least four Chelsea players tested positive for COVID-19 before their Premier League clash against Everton.
They are: Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.
Kai Havertz is also awaiting test results but feeling unwell.
Thomas Tuchel confirmed the news ahead of the game.
The news follows the Premier League seeing six postponements on Thursday, five for matches at the weekend.
After Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur’s clash was called off, Manchester United will not face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, with the Red Devils only having seven first-team players available.
And in the evening, four other weekend games were postponed.
Southampton against Brentford, Watford versus Crystal Palace, Norwich’s game at West Ham United and Everton’s encounter with Leicester City have all been called off.
The Premier League announced earlier today that it intended to continue with the current season despite calls for a firebreak.
