Ex-Bulgara international Dimitar Berbatov has said that Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal will challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.
Manchester City have dominated the league, winning five out of the previous six titles, including the last three.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been able to break Pep Guardiola’s dominance when they won the title in the 2019-2020 season.
But former Manchester United and Bayern Munich striker Berbatov believes next season will be difficult for the Cityzens.
“I believe it will be difficult for Manchester City next season because not only Manchester United, but the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool will be competing with them also,” Berbatov told BetFred.
“I know Chelsea had a difficult campaign, but they will be better next season under Mauricio Pochettino. It is going to be very interesting to see which club presents Manchester City with the biggest challenge,” he added.
