Speaking in Makurdi, the Benue State capital yesterday, Tinubu urged Nigerians to stop seeing each other as enemies.

The president said Nigerians should stop opening their doors to terror and violence.

He said: “Whether you are Tiv, Idoma, Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo, this country is our shared heritage. We must build it together.

“We must find solutions, not just talk about the problems. Let us stop seeing one another as enemies. We must stop opening doors to terror and violence. We must embrace peace with serious understanding.”

Tinubu had paid a condolence visit to Benue State following the killings in the Yelewata area of the state.

Over 200 people have been killed during the attack in Yelewata and other communities around the Benue-Nasarawa corridor.
