According to him, the Chief Medical Director, Professor Yusuf Bara, expressed optimism about the programme’s impact.

He revealed that the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare had provided extensive support, including the supply of consumables and the donation of a new dialysis machine to enhance the hospital’s capacity.

“This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare to Nigerians, especially during these challenging economic times.

“So far, over 45 patients have benefited from the subsidized dialysis sessions,” Koli stated.

The hospital emphasized that the effort aligns with its mission of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare and building public trust in the healthcare system.

Meanwhile, a kidney patient, Magaji Galadima has lauded the initiative, describing it as life-changing.

“This program has brought hope to many of us who couldn’t afford treatment before,” he said.

The hospital also assured the public of its commitment to sustaining and expanding similar programmes in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, ensuring accessible healthcare for all citizens.
