Nigeria’s two friendly matches against Cape Verde and Burkina Faso ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have been cancelled.
Instead, the Super Eagles will now face Guinea on Monday, 8 January, 2024.
The Syli Stars are in a tricky group at this year’s AFCON as they will face Cameroon, Gambia and champions Senegal.
While the Eagles will take on Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
So far 22 players are already in the Eagles training camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
However, Victor Osimhen is expected to arrive on Thursday morning and William Troost-Ekong will join his colleagues on Thursday night.
