A notorious bandit leader, Kachallah Buzu has been eliminated by troops of the Joint Task Force Northwest (OPHD).
Buzu was killed on the night of Thursday, September 12, along with several of his fighters in Zamfara State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the bandit leader was killed in Mayanchi village during a strategic ambush set by the military, based on intelligence regarding the movements of the terrorists.
The security forces also captured 30 motorcycles and a substantial stockpile of arms from the bandits.
