Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has welcomed a child with his partner.

This was confirmed by Italian Football Writer, Manuel Gaurdasole, in a tweet.

Gaurdasole posted on the social media platform, Twitter on Thursday.

“Victor Osimhen has become a father: this is the reason for his absence from training this morning,” the post read.

Recall the Nigerian who is recuperating, was missing for Napoli in the 1-6 thrashing of Ajax Amsterdam on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

According to what is reported by Naples-based outlet II Mattino, Osimhen, 23, could make his comeback in Napoli’s Serie A fixture against Cremonese on Sunday. However, the report also understands that he might not start the game. Luciano Spalletti is understandably more eager to bring him on as a second-half substitute.

He could also make the bench against Ajax in the Champions League, with Spalletti reportedly planning to introduce him as a starter against Bologna on October 16.
