Turning the spotlight to China, Viv Solomon-Otabor orchestrated a remarkable comeback for Cangzhou Mighty Lions FC, rallying his team from two goals down to clinch a thrilling 3-2 win over Qingdao West Coast FC in the Chinese Super League encounter.

Otabor was the star of the show, contributing a goal and an assist to the stunning victory. 

In England, Alex Iwobi dazzled with an assist, while Calvin Bassey showcased his defensive nous as Fulham secured a noteworthy 2-0 Premier League victory away at West Ham, leaving their opponents reeling.

Across the Channel in France, Akor Adams played a pivotal role, providing the assist for Montpellier HSC in their hard-fought 1-1 draw against Clermont Foot 63.

Lyon clinched a dramatic 4-3 win over Brest, with Gift Orban making a significant impact off the bench.

In the heart of Germany, Victor Boniface etched his name in the annals of history, opening the scoring and providing an assist to propel Bayer 04 Leverkusen to a resounding 5-0 victory over SV Werder Bremen, securing the club’s first-ever German Bundesliga title in their 119-year history.

Boniface, alongside Nathan Tella, thus joined an exclusive club of Nigerian players to lift the prestigious trophy.

Victor Osimhen continued his scoring form, finding the back of the net for the second consecutive game in Napoli’s 2-2 draw against Frosinone.

As the football frenzy swept through Scotland, Cyriel Dessers endured a frustrating outing as Glasgow Rangers suffered a tough 3-2 defeat at the hands of Ross County in the Premiership clash.

In the heart of Serbia, Peter Olayinka rounded up the scoring for FK Crvena Zvezda Beograd in their straightforward 3-0 Super Liga win over FK Železničar Pančevo.

In the Slovenian SNL 1, Victor Gidado was on target for NK Bravo in their 1-1 home draw against Maribor.

Edna Imade was a second-half substitute for Granada as they stumbled to a crushing 5-0 loss at Real Madrid.

In the Swedish Damallsvenskan season opener, Anam Imo was on the scoresheet as Pitea IF battled to a 3-2 home victory against Växjö DFF.

In Turkey’s Super Lig, Ibrahim Olawoyin assisted one of Rizespor’s goals in their 3 – 0 triumph over Antalyaspor.

Bright Osayi-Samuel impressed for Fenerbahce as they carved out a 2-1 away win at Fatih Karagümrük.

Across the Atlantic in the United States, Qudus Lawal was on point with goal-scoring ability, albeit in a losing effort, as Central Valley Fuego fell 4-2 to Chattanooga Red Wolves in the USL League One encounter.
