In a stunning display of skill and athleticism, Muhamed Tijani led Banik Ostrava to a resounding 4-1 victory over Sigma Olomouc in the Czech Liga, scoring the first hat-trick of his career.

Tijani’s precise finishing and impeccable timing had the home fans reeling as Banik Ostrava dominated the game from start to finish.

Meanwhile, in Slavia Prague’s crucial match against Hradec Králové, Igoh Ogbu and Peter Olayinka hoped to keep their title dreams alive.

However, their efforts were in vain as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home, putting a significant dent in their chances of claiming the top spot.

Abdoullahi Tanko continued his impressive goal-scoring form for Varnsdorf, scoring his sixth goal in seven games.

However, his efforts were not enough to prevent a disappointing 3-1 home defeat against Vyškov in the second division.

Over in Denmark, Viborg’s Ibrahim Said was the star of the show, scoring a beautiful goal and putting on a man-of-the-match performance in a 3-1 victory over Stephen Odey, Tosin Kehinde, and Randers on home soil.

In France, Innocent Bonke was a force to be reckoned with in midfield as Lorient secured a brilliant 3-1 away win over champions Paris Saint-Germain. Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe featured for the hosts, but a first-half red card to Achraf Hakimi threw a spanner in their plans.

Meanwhile, Terem Moffi helped OGC Nice to a 1-0 away victory at Troyes in Ligue 1.

In Germany, Chidera Ejuke was brought on in the second half but could not help Hertha Berlin avoid a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.

In Israel, Steven Alfred continued his impressive goal-scoring form, netting his second goal in three games for Hapoel Hadera. However, his team suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Hapoel Haifa in Ligat Ha’al gameweek five clash at the Netanya Stadium.

In Serie A, David Okereke scored a sensational solo effort, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory for 10-man US Cremonese as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Verona. Super Eagles striker, Cyriel Dessers, came off the bench to feature for the home side.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s Scudetto celebrations were put on hold as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Salernitana at the Diego Maradona Stadium.

In Moldova, Origbaajo Ismaila saved the day for Sheriff, scoring a memorable equalizer in stoppage time to secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Petrocub in the Super Liga.

In the Netherlands, Calvin Bassey’s hopes of lifting his first trophy in Ajax colours were dashed as PSV won the KNVB Beker on penalties after full-time scores stood at 1-1.

In Slovenia, Bright Edomwonyi’s penalty gave Kover a glimmer of hope, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 3-2 away defeat to Olimpija.

In Spain, Asisat Oshoala equaled her personal best for a league season, scoring her 20th goal to lead Barcelona to a resounding 3-0 victory over Sporting de Huelva.

With the win, Barcelona secured their fourth consecutive title in the 2022/23 season of the Primera División Femenina.

Meanwhile, Rasheedat Ajibade put on an impressive display coming off the bench for Atletico Madrid Feminino in a 1-1 draw with Real Betis.
