Leicester City and Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi has taken after retired Super Eagles midfielder Seyi Olofinjana by completing a program in University. The 25-year-old midfield ace continues to plan for life after football.

Ndidi has distinguished himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League since 2017 with Leicester City. The Nigerian star has been a fixture in the Foxes sides since then, helping them to win both the FA Cup and FA Community Shield.

A while back, news of Ndidi enrolling in a university in Leicester became viral after he was pictured in the university. This week, he revealed in an interview that he completed his program at De Montfort University. He had taken a 10-course class in Business Management, and this program qualifies him to enrol for a degree program if he chooses to now. The Super Eagles star further revealed that he was in school to learn about business and entrepreneurship as he looks to equip himself for life after the end of his playing career.

Ndidi is not the first Super Eagles star to enrol in an academic program during his career. He follows the path laid by Seyi Olofinjana, a former Hull City and Nigeria midfielder. Olofinjana completed his degree in Chemical Engineering while he featured locally for Crown FC before proceeding to do a Masters in Scotland after he moved abroad.

Olofinjana last worked as a Technical Director for Swiss club FC Zurich and turned down the same role with the NFF. Ndidi will hope to obtain a Bachelor’s degree soon while he also focuses on his career with Leicester City.
