Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are genuinely interested in signing Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze in the summer transfer window.

The Parisians hold a concrete interest in the Villarreal winger as they believe he could be a replacement for Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, who is heavily linked with a departure from the club in the summer.

Messi, who is out of contract at the end of next month, has been courted by Odion Ighalo’s Al Hilal and a return to Barcelona has also been mooted.

Paris Saint-Germain also believe the potential signing of the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner would fill the void left by the departure of Messi’s compatriot Ángel Di María, who is an inverted winger like Chukwueze.

The Red and Blues have held talks in recent days with Chukwueze’s bona fide agent over a transfer.

The Diamond Academy Umuahia product has had a brilliant season, registering a career high 24 goal involvements (13 goals, 11 assists) from 48 appearances in all competitions.

Chukwueze is also appreciated by English Premier League clubs with Unai Emery’s Aston Villa among his suitors.

The 24-year-old has one year left on his Villarreal contract and is considering moving on to pastures new in the summer transfer window.
