Paris Saint-Germain star, Lionel Messi, is currently suffering a lot playing for the club due to the cold weather in France at this time of the year.

This claim was made by Atletico Madrid striker, Luis Suarez.

Suarez, a close friend and a former teammate with Messi at Barcelona, disclosed this after having private chats with the Argentine captain about how he is settling into his new surroundings.

Messi joined PSG on a free transfer last summer after Barcelona failed to extend his contract due to LaLiga regulations.

“We talk every day, we always try to avoid expectations because we are players and we know how we have to act in those moments, we talk about the games, about the family,” Suarez told TNT Sports.

“He told me that when he is playing in the cold, he suffers a lot and with the snow. You have to get used to what the cold weather there is like.”

Suarez and Messi played together in Barcelona between 2014 and 2021.

Messi has only managed four goals and three assists in his first 12 appearances for PSG so far this season.

The 34-year-old will hope to score when Mauricio Pochettino’s side take on Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
