For the second time in the space of a month, a man has fallen to his death at Menlyn Mall under mysterious circumstances. Officials at the popular Pretoria shopping centre say they are still unsure if the man was pushed, or if he took the plunge on his own volition.
ANOTHER MYSTERY FALL AT MENLYN MALL
According to a statement provided to local media, the deceased is a 29-year-old male. It’s understood he plummeted from ‘at least’ the fourth floor. General Manager Nisha Kemraj confirmed that an official police investigation is already underway at Menlyn Mall.
“We are currently not sure if he was pushed or jumped. However, police are on scene busy with investigations. An official investigation is underway. Also, Menlyn Park is fully cooperating with authorities as they investigate the circumstances around the incident.”

Just a few weeks ago, a man aged 31 also tumbled to his death inside Menlyn Mall. In a macabre twist, the victim landed next to a children’s play area. He was rushed to hospital, only to be pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

This latest incident played out a little differently, though. The 29-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics were unable to provide any life-saving interventions. A raft of reports about the deadly fall made it to social media earlier in the day…
