Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire’s place in the team is reportedly being questioned by some of his teammates.

The 28-year-old England international has endured a frustrating season at Old Trafford in which his form has come under serious question having made a number of high-profile mistakes in several matches including recent games against Burnley and Southampton.

Despite this, he has largely kept his place in the team, something which some of his team-mates have privately questioned behind the scenes, according to the Times.

His drop in form has reportedly not impressed some of his teammates who have aired their grievances between themselves at the club’s Carrington training ground. They feel that his performances have not met the club’s standards throughout the season.

It’s not the first time this season that there have been reports about questions over Maguire’s status in the team.

In October, it was reported that during a team meeting after their 4-2 defeat by Leicester, some players ripped into each other, with one questioning Maguire’s selection as captain.

The defender has held the role of captain for a large part of his time at Old Trafford after he was awarded the armband just six months after joining from Leicester.
