Regardless of the varied reactions, enthusiasts of Adekunle Gold and Yemi Alade rejoice as “The Book of Clarence” will be available in Nigerian cinemas starting April 12, 2024.

Penned and directed by Jeymes Samuel, this biblical comedy-drama unfolds the tale of a young man striving for a better life in 33 A.D. whose destiny intersects with the burgeoning powers of the Messiah.

Produced by a stellar team comprising Jay-Z, James Lassiter, and Tendo Nagenda, the film boasts Adekunle Gold’s contribution to the song “Jeezu,” alongside American rappers Doja Cat and Kodak Black. Yemi Alade lends her vocals to “Sacred Love,” collaborating with Jeymes Samuel on the soundtrack, which was released on December 12, 2023, and is currently accessible on Spotify.

Crafted by Legendary Entertainment, the movie stars an ensemble cast featuring LaKeith Stanfield, James McAvoy, RJ Cyler, Teyana Taylor, Babs Olusanmokun, Omar Sy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Caleb McLaughlin, Nicholas Pinnock, Anna Diop, and Michael Ward.

The film also boasts guest appearances from international music superstars, including Jay-Z, Jorja Smith, Lil Wayne, Shabba Ranks, Kid Kudi, and Buju Banton.

Having already made its debut in the United States on January 12, 2024, “The Book of Clarence” promises a unique cinematic experience that transcends geographical boundaries and diverse opinions.
