A determined female footballer, brimming with lofty ambitions reaching for the sky, found herself utterly broken after a devastating knee injury. Her misery multiplied when she was slapped with a colossal N6 million surgery bill, a sum far from her grasp. With a heart as heavy as lead and her football dreams in tatters, she took to social media in a hail-Mary play for financial aid. And behold, Don Jazzy, moved by her tale of woe, delivered the entire sum, winning a tidal wave of online kudos.

  • Music executive Don Jazzy has stirred the online pot of emotions, becoming a real knight in shining armor to a young lady footballer who sounded the trumpet of financial need on social media.
  • Anthonia, the footballer, made an appeal to fellow Nigerians, seeking financial assistance to cover the hefty N6 million bill for her knee surgery, a result of an injury sustained during a match.
  • The Mavin Boss, with a generous spirit, promptly contributed the required funds to her bank account

Nigerian music maestro, Michael Collins Ajereh, known in the professional world as Don Jazzy, has stepped up to the plate, like a true champion, to assist Anthonia, a Nigerian female footballer, by generously donating ₦6 million to cover the costs of her much-needed knee surgery.

Anthonia, with poignant photos and words, shared her ordeal on her social media platform, pouring her heart out.

In the same breath, she reached out to the compassionate souls of Nigeria, appealing for financial support to gather the necessary ₦5-6 million for her crucial knee surgery.

“In August 2023, I left Makurdi and had another X-ray at Nisa Premier Hospital, Abuja. The orthopedic doctor recommended an MRI scan.

“I’ve been in pain for the past year, to the point where I started using crutches, taking pain-relieving medication daily, and wearing a knee brace constantly. I can’t engage in training or walk long distances due to the injury.

“The estimated cost of the treatment and surgery is approximately ₦5-6 million. I would greatly appreciate any assistance and donations, regardless of the amount.”

Don Jazzy, like a guardian angel, swiftly answered her call for help. He shared a receipt confirming the transfer of ₦6 million to her account with a note that read, “Get well soon”.
