An apprentice in Alaba Market, Lagos hit it big as he wins sports bet of ₦16 million.

According to @oku_yungx who shared the story on Twitter, the boy’s master requested that he is given half of the total winning.

The tweep wrote, “So this boy who is currently undergoing his Apprenticeship with oga at Alaba market won 16 million naira on BET and his boss requested he shared the money into 2. Meaning his boss goes with 8million.

“I hear the market people supported his boss so he had to oblige.”

In similar news, a young man who won 38 million naira from sports betting with an investment of just eight hundred naira has come under fire for his choice to go pray immediately after his win was confirmed.

The young man was seen performing ablution in a video posted online before heading into the mosque to pray. He was escorted by well-wishers singing his praises and congratulating him on his success.
