The 24-year-old has firmly established himself in the Foxes midfield since joining the King Power Stadium in 2017 and has regularly been linked with big money moves over the last 12 months.

Leicester City’s midfield enforcer Wilfred Ndidi has once again been linked with interest from one of Europe’s top clubs.

The 24-year-old was the subject of speculation last summer when it was claimed Manchester United and Real Madrid had him on their radars.

And while nothing materialised in the last transfer window, reports in Spain claim Real Madrid are ready to made a move for the 60 million Euro (£52m) rated Foxes midfielder in January.

According to a report by media outlet Fichajes, the Spanish giants’ boss Carlo Ancelotti has been frustrated by the form of Brazilian Casemiro who has, in turn, attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.

It is claimed that Real have had Ndidi in their sights for three years but whether they are prepared to shell out the reported fee remains to be seen.

Ndidi joined the Foxes from KRC Genk in January 2017 and has since established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

Rodgers delighted with ‘excellent’ Leicester as Solskjaer left ‘disappointed’

The Nigerian international has proved to be a ready-made replacement for N’Golo Kante at the King Power Stadium and has been a key figure for the Foxes for nearly five years now.

He’s made 187 appearances for the former Premier League champions, chipping in with nine goals and 11 assists along the way.
