Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka has said that Labour Party’s Vice Presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti-Ahmed’s interview before the Supreme Court judgement which ruled in favour of President Bola Tinubu was ‘’disgraceful and menacing.”

Datti had before the ruling, asked Nigerians to wake up as no justice of the Supreme Court will give them democracy.

During the interview on Channels Television, the Nobel laureate stated that the interview meant there was now a contest between a so-called interim political party and democracy.

According to him, Datti should have known that his principal, Peter Obi, benefitted from the judiciary and shouldn’t have rubbished a structure in the country.  Soyinka also accused Datti and Peter Obi of playing a script.
