Governor Zulum’s spokesman dies in Indian hospital

Mallam Isa Gusau, the spokesman to Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, has passed away. 

Gusau died in a specialist hospital in New Delhi, Indian, on Thursday, January 11, 2024 after a protracted illness.

Until his death, Gusau was the Chief Strategist on Media and Publicity to Governor Zulum. 

Governor Zulum?s spokesman dies in Indian hospital

Gusau, who was also the spokesman to the present Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima when he was the governor of Borno State was on admission at the Indian hospital for over a month, according to sources who spoke to ThisDay.

“We have lost Isa to the cold hands of death, he was unconscious for about three days, we were all praying for his recovery but it was quite unfortunate that we lost him this evening (yesterday) in the hospital in New Delhi, India,” the source said

Gusau was said to be actively involved in the publicity of the governor right from his sick bed in India, issuing statements to promote his boss.

There is no official confirmation of his death yet but the social media is awash with new of his demise.
