ITALY

Tyronne Ebuehi returned to the starting lineup for Empoli, but his best efforts did not help the struggling Serie A side avoid a 0-2 loss at home to Lazio.

Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi and Salernitana battled to a 2-2 draw with Samuel Chukwueze’s AC Milan, with Luka Jovic netting a last-minute equaliser for the San Siro giants.

Fikayo Tomori opened the scoring in the 17th minute for Milan at the Stadio Arechi in Salerno before the home side turned the tie around with two strikes early in the second half.

SAUDI ARABIA

In the Saudi League, Saviour Godwin won all three points for his side as he netted the only goal in Al Akhdoud’s slim 1 – 0 victory against Al Shabab.

In the UEFA Women’s Champions League, newly-crowned African Female Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala helped Barcelona maintain their perfect winning record with a 7-0 defeat of Rosengård.

Elsewhere, Christy Ucheibe was named the woman-of-the-match for her excellent showing at the heart of the defence for Benfica as they forced Eintracht Frankfurt to a thrilling 1-1 draw.

Aaron Olanare was among the goals for Neftchi Baku as they cruised to a 4 – 0 win over Qaradağ Lökbatan and advanced to the next round of the Azerbaijani Cup.

In the Belgian First Division A, Gift Orban forgot his scoring boots at home, but Gent had enough in their arsenal to carve out a 4 – 0 win over OH Leuven.

William Troost-Ekong did not put a foot wrong as PAOK cut through Kifisia without mercy, romping to a 6-0 away win.

Daniel Chima claimed his first hat-trick in the India Super League to Jamshedpur to a crushing 5-0 victory at Hyderabad.

Philip Otele was the star of the encounter as he bagged a brilliant brace to end CFR Cluj’s winless run and inspire them to a 4-0 victory over rivals Universitatea Cluj in Romania.
