Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for Victor Osimhen, but Napoli will demand big money for their biggest asset.

As Napoli lifted their first Italian title in 33 years, it is hard to argue that any player has been as important as Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

When they won the title in 1990, Napoli’s top scorer was the legendary Diego Maradona, who managed 16 goals in 28 Serie A matches.

Osimhen eclipsed that this season, scoring 22 goals in 27 games, including the equaliser than clinched the title in a 1-1 draw with Udinese.

He also scored five Champions League goals – prior to Napoli being knocked out of the quarter-finals by fellow Italian side AC Milan – proving that he has the ability to shine on the biggest stage.

However, after another brilliant season in Italy, Napoli knows that bigger clubs will come knocking for Osimhen’s signature. They’ve briefed in the past that he isn’t for sale but that could be an attempt to drive the price up.

According to the Daily Mail, United and Chelsea believe Napoli want £130 million for the striker.

That figure will likely out-price Bayern Munich, who are concentrating on Randal Kolo Muani, who is no stranger to the Manchester United transfer speculation.

Let us know in the comments section who you think United should sign this summer.
