Recall that Judges at the Supreme Court on Thurday adjourned his case till next month.

Reacting, Kanu lamented that his case was over-ripe for hearing by the Supreme Court; hence it should not be adjourned again.

He disclosed this during his routine meeting with his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor at the Department of State Service, DSS, facility in Abuja.

The apex court had adjourned Kanu’s case till May 11 after allowing the Federal government to file addition nine grounds in its appeal against the IPOB leader.

Tweeting about the meeting, Ejimakor wrote: “I just exited from today’s visitation with #MNK. I informed him of the adjournment of his appeal by the Supreme Court & he was not happy about it.

“He believes (and I concur) that his case is over-ripe for hearing. He, therefore, insisted that the case must not be adjourned again.”

A five-man panel led by Justice John Okoro of the Supreme Court okayed the Federal Government’s appeal against the Court of Appeal that discharged and acquitted Kanu.

The court granted the permission while ruling on a motion for leave moved by the counsel of the Nigerian Government, Tijani Gazali.
