President Muhammadu Buhari met with Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Sunday, to discuss the deadline for the swap of old naira notes.

Emefiele visited Buhari in his hometown, Daura, Katsina state.

After the meeting, the CBN governor announced the extension of the deadline from January 31, 2023 to February 10.
