Nigerians have reacted to the news of Federal Government reintroducing history into the basic education curriculum.
The Federal Government formally announced the reintroduction of History as a subject in the basic education curriculum, after it was removed from primary and secondary education curriculums from the 2009/2010 academic session.
According to the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, the need for the reintroduction arises because the national cohesion of the country is being threatened.

The State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services in Delta state, Dr Darlington Ijeh announced that the cost of school children feeding through the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme had been reviewed from seventy Naira to a hundred Naira per child.
